• The Festival DECro 02 moved to the Adriatic, in collaboration with Šibenik International Children's Festival
   
   
  

  

  
  As we announced, the second edition of the festival Digital Exchange Croatia - DECro02 happened on the Adriatic coast, in a beautiful historic town of Šibenik in Dalmatia. It is a part of the program of internationally famous Šibenik International Children's Festival.

  On Sunday, June 19th 2005, at 12 AM the multimedia exhibition of the project "Croatian Tales of Long Ago" was open, and at 6 PM we had a presentation. We screened the Croatian version of "Jagor", animated cartoon made by Sabina Hahn, Polina and Mirek Nisenbaum from Studio Mobile in New York. The narrator in the Croatian version is Vili Matula, famous for his role in "Schindler's List" by Steven Spielberg.

  Both the exhibition and the presentation/screening took place in the gallery of Museum of the City of Šibenik.

  The participants were:
  - Laurence Arcadias from France, author of the animated cartoon "Fisherman Plunk and His Wife"
  - Sabina Hahn, Polina and Mirek Nisenbaum from the USA, authors of the cartoon "Yagor"
  - Ed Beals from Canada, author of "Neva"
  - Christian Biegai from Germany, music composer for interactive cartoon "Regotch"
  - and of course Helena Bulaja, the project editor in chief and the author of interactive cartoon "Regotch"

  The other authors from the project could not make it this time, but by some coincidence in Šibenik we hosted all the authors of the pieces that have not been published yet. All the cartoons mentioned above will be available on CD-ROM "Croatian Tales, Part Two", to be published soon in English, German and Croatian language.

  Two years ago the Šibenik kids, lead by Zdenka Bilušić, made a very cute theater performance of "Neva". In fact, they made all the cartoon characters and backgrounds and performed the cartoon live! Now they had a chance to meet the author of the cartoon, Edgar Beals.
